Hello! My name is Marie and I live in Cape Town, South Africa. I have worked as an English teacher or tutor since 2004, and I am passionate about education and the English language. I strive to help my students meet their language goals and build their confidence. I am able to teach with a General American or British accent.
Work experience: I lived in Japan for four and a half years. During that time, I taught many business professionals from various industries. Also, I worked for an online, South Korean company between 2018 and 2020. I taught Business English, IELTS, OPIc and TOEFL. Education: I completed a four-year, Honours degree in Musical Theatre and a three-year major in English Literature. I have also completed a two-year Certificate in Community Counselling, and a 120-hour, TEFL Certificate from FoundationTEFL.uk.
