How does EnglishScore assess language proficiency?
For those interested in learning more about EnglishScore’s test purpose, design and content, we have released a public report prepared in partnership with the world-renowned Centre for Research in English Language Learning and Assessment (CRELLA) at the University of Bedfordshire in the United Kingdom.
To aid with interpretation and to demonstrate compliance with global standards, the report is based on:
- the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and draws on the related, but more recent Companion Volume (CV)
- the Council of Europe’s Manual for Relating language examinations to the CEFR (the CoE Manual).
The report should be read by score users, educators and others interested in the test.
You can download a copy of the report here.
